12-Year-Old Boy Smashes Car’s Window To Save Child Locked Inside
It’s not every day that you get the chance to save someone and do some good in somebody’s life. And, it’s even less frequent that you get the opportunity to save somebody’s life. Well, that’s precisely what happened to one 12-year-old boy who has been deemed a hero because he smashed a windshield of care in order to help a youngster trapped inside of the car. You might think that the 12-year-old didn’t do much, but wait until you hear the whole story! The youngster inside of the car was going to cook alive because it turned out to be one of the hottest days recorded in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 12-year-old realized that he had to do something quick after he heard screams coming from a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a department store.
Namely, on that day, the 12-year-old boy and his mother were visiting a store. When, all of a sudden, they heard some sounds that sounded like a baby crying. They started looking around in order to find out where the noise is coming from, and they realized that the noise was coming from a car parked in the parking lot of the store. Once they got closer to the vehicle, they realized that there was a toddler trapped inside of the hearing, and they knew that they don’t have a lot of time because of the fact that the heat index for the day was 116 degrees. So they didn’t wait around, and they knew that they didn’t have time to waste, so they started thinking of ways to save the toddler.
The 12-year-old quickly found a strap with a metal end and started smashing on the window of the car in order to break it. But, he realized that he wasn’t making a lot of progress, and so, he moved to the windshield. There, he was able to make some bigger and more significant cracks. And after only a couple of swings, he was able to stomp on the windshield and get inside of the car. There he was able to unlock the baby and get it out.
According to the local news station, the baby was thoroughly checked, and it was okay, except for the red face because of the temperatures. Immediately after this event, they called the police, and they came to the scene, they decided to find the mother but did not make an arrest on her for child neglect.
The 12-year-old’s mother shared a photo of the scene on her social media, and she wrote that that’s what’s happening when you forget your toddler inside of the car and lock them.
And, when the 12-year-old was interviewed, he said that he never anticipated something like that to happen. In fact, he only went there so he could get some new shoes.
