Often times World Records show us how extraordinary things can be made easy by some individuals who put their mind into it, but these World Records and their holders also offer something unusual, some would even say something strange that will leave you baffled but will also entertain you.
Takashi Kokubu, a 37-year- the old guy who is the current holder of the World Record for running a four-legged hundred-meter race. To run this race he used the ‘African Patas monkey’ technique. Crossing the line after only 16.87 seconds, he set this new record at a competition held in Tokyo.
World Record for the Largest Traditional Dance
Back in April of this year, the Guinness World Records acknowledged the Konyak dance as one of the largest traditional dances in the whole wide world. Namely, the Naga ethnic tribe dance entered the Guinness World Records books after 4687 women decided to partake in making their tribal dance known to the public by breaking the previous record.
World’s Biggest 3D Painting
The thing that you see on the image is not an ordinary painting. In fact, this is what’s considered to be the world’s biggest 3D painting is located at Canary Wharf in London, Great Britain. A British artist named Joe Hill created it. The 3D painting stretches over 1120 sq. Meters (translates into twelve thousand sq. feet), and it broke the World’s Guinness Records for the longest as well as the largest 3D painting.
The Most Tattooed Senior Female
Back in 2015 the famous “Tattoo Legend” Charlotte Guttenberg from Florida, USA, entered the new Guinness Worlds Records book as the most tattooed senior female in the world with more than 91 percent of her body is covered in tattoos. Sadly the 77-year-old passed away later the same year, and she was battling Alzheimer’s disease for a long time.
The Biggest Roller Coaster
This rollercoaster is not your ordinary roller coaster. The “Takabisha” roller coaster holds the world record for the steepest roller coaster with a free falling angle of one hundred twenty-one degrees. You can see this record-holding roller coaster at the Fuji-Q Highland pleasure ground located in the vicinity of Tokyo, Japan. This roller coaster holds a place in the Guinness World Record book for the steepest roller coaster. The pleasure ground paid more than 37 million dollars for the construction of the Takabisha roller coaster.

Two men from Sydney, Australia have wanted to find a way to raise some money for charity. So, they decided that breaking a Guinness World Record would be the best way to do this. Jack Tsonis and Lindsay Morrison met at the ABC’s studios in Sydney and shook hands for more than 12 hours back in September 2009.
The Biggest Bee Suit
We hope that the man that wore the biggest bee suit in the world is not allergic to bees! Back in 2012, a guy from Chongqing, China, decided to put over 330 000 bees all along his body. The bee suit that She Ping wore weighed more than 33 kilograms of bees. The Chinese beekeeper decided to do this in order to break the previous Guinness World Record of 27 kilograms of bees in a bee suit.
The Largest Cantonese Fried Dice
The Guinness World Record for the largest Cantonese fried rice which was cooked at one time is held by Costa Rica. It took 52 chefs back in 2013 to cook 1345kg. (3000lbs.) of rice that has been served to more than 7000 people for the Chinese Community in Costa Rica.

Rolf Bucholz of Germany, holds the current Guinness World Record for most pierced man. Rolf has somewhere in the neighborhood of 453 piercings all over his body. And that is not all that Rolf has updated on his body. In fact, there are numerous tattoos all over his body, and he even has equipped his body with horn implants.

Another weird World Record that entered into the books of Guinness World Records is the biggest collection of Air Jordans. Namely, the guy that owns this enormous collection is Jordan Michael Geller, and he owns more than 2500 pairs of shoes, he even has a shop that is located in Los Angeles, USA.

Born back in 1934 on July the 1st, the oldest woman who dances salsa is still Paddy Jones. Sarah Patricia Jones is her real name, and she is now 84 years old, and she still dances like she is 20. She got famous with her appearance in the 8th season of the “Britain’s Got Talent” show. And many people haven’t stopped following her fantastic journey.

While we are at the topic of weird world records, we can’t talk about it, and not mention one of the most bizarre and funniest world records. Namely, in Jinan, China, around 1000 women got a facial massage in order to break the previous world record of most women getting a facial massage at once!

An Albanian artist by the name of Samir Strati, worked on his project for fourteen hours a day for twenty-eight consecutive days on an art piece that was created using 229,764 corks of different shapes and colors which were placed on a plastic banner measuring 42.5 by 23 feet, setting a new world record.
Loudest Bark by a Dog
We’ve written about many weird world records claimed by humans today. But, we never mentioned one that was claimed by an animal. Yes, you read this right. The next world record is about an animal that entered in the Guinness World Record books. Namely, Charlie, a beautiful golden retriever, broke the world record for the loudest bark setting the new one at 113.1 decibels.

YMCA Grounds, Chennai is the place where more than fifty thousand Indians gathered and decided to break the world record for the largest human national flag ever made. The previous world record was held by the people that made the flag of Pakistan which was made from 28957 people, but it was broken in December of 2014 by the 50000 Indians.
Biggest Swimsuit Photo Shoot
Sydney, Australia holds the world record for most people coming out in their bikinis to take a photo shoot. Namely, one of the most iconic beaches in the area known as Bondi Beach gathered more than one thousand people in their bikinis in order to make this fantastic photoshoot possible.
I know that there was a world record for the longest hair in the world, but I never even imagined that something like this could enter the books for the Guinness World Records. We’re talking about the largest Mohawk, a world record held by Kazuhiro Watanabe, a Japanese designer. Reportedly, it took the designer more than 15 years to grow the hair, and he went through three hairsprays and a large bottle of gel in order to hold the whole thing up.

Back in January 14th, 2011, thirty-eight wineries in Ontario decided to gather and pour around 27 liters of their best wines in a 4-foot tall wine flute near the Niagara Falls at a place known as the Fallsview Casino Resort. With this, they set the new world record for the biggest wine flute.

The tallest piece of luggage has been found in an airport in China, it has been proven to be more than six feet tall, and it was confirmed to be the world’s tallest one yet!
Longest Juggled Motor Saws
Breaking records can oftentimes be a dangerous thing to do mainly when your record includes juggling three motor saws. But, Milan Roskopf did just that in Slovakia, and he did it two times. Namely, his first attempt was not enough because he juggled the motor saws “only” 35 times. He got back on the spotlight back in June 2009, and he was successful at breaking the record with juggling the motor saws 62 times in a row.
So yeah, the previous record was a bit dangerous. Let’s get back to the more silly ones. Namely, Pete Glazerbrook found a large onion on his farm. Reportedly, the large onion was proven to weigh in at a whopping 17 pounds, which got Pete in the Guinness World Record’s books.
Longest time Under Snow
Two men from Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China, decided to break the world record for the longest time spend under snow/ice. Chen Kecai and Jin Songhao were the two men that stripped down and went under an extremely cold ice bath. Mr. Chen lasted for 118 minutes when medics had to pull him out, but his friend Jin Songhao broke the world record by enduring more than 120 minutes under an ice bath.
Looking at the pictures of this one, it just creeps me out. This one is for the longest fingernails, and it is held by Chris Walton, who is also called “The Duchess.” She had managed to grow really long fingernails, and they are nine feet and seven inches long on the right hand, and ten feet and 2 inches long on the left.
Most people Skinny Dipping
Organized to raise funds for the children’s cancer charity ‘Aoibheann’s Pink Tie,’ at Magheramore beach near Wicklow in Ireland, 2,500 women went skinny-dipping and set the world record for the largest number of people skinny-dipping together on the 9th of June,2018.

Germany, Deggendorf is the place where the glass blowing company “Joska” is located. An employee of this glass blowing company named Franz Paternosta has managed to create the world’s biggest Christmas ornament. The ornament weighs at a whopping 20 kg, and its diameter is 60cm.

This world record was broken by a man known as “Cueto,” and his real name is Jose Castelar Cairo. The cigar that he rolled in order to break the previous world record measured in at 268ft. 4in. (Which translates into 81m. 80cm.) But, the funny part is the fact that he actually broke his previous world record of 148ft. and 9in. (which translates into 45m. 38cm.)
Longest Basketball Spin
In Kathmandu, Nepal, spinning a basketball for 22,41 seconds, Thaneshwar Guragai broke the previous world record of 12,5 seconds. And the weirdest part of this world record is the fact that it is for spinning a basketball on a toothbrush while holding the toothbrush in your mouth. The previous record was held by Thomas Connors from the UK.
Two World Records with one Swing
‘Most concrete poured in twenty-four hours’ and ‘Largest continuous concrete pour,’ were the two world records that the Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NECL) broke back in January of this year. They broke these records while they were building the world’s largest flood discharge capacity dam in Andhra Pradesh, India.

At first sight, the number of skips might seem like it’s a little but bear with me, because these are the hardest rope skips I’ve ever seen. A man name Hijiki Ikuyama is a rope skipper that comes from Japan. Ikuyama has broken the previous world record by doing 24 mamba rope release style skips.
Shortest Woman Alive
The shortest woman alive is located in India and since she turned eighteen years, back on December 16th, 2011, she has been holding the Guinness World Record for the shortest women alive with only 24.7 inches in height.
Oldest Living Man
Back on April 24th, 2014, Alexander Imich was pronounced as the oldest living man after Arturo Licata from Italy died a couple of weeks before he turned 112 years. Alexander Imich was 111 years at the time. But, today Imich is dead, and the oldest living person in the world is Kane Tanaka from Fukuoka, Japan with 116 years and 66 days.
World Record for Cycling Non-stop for an Hour
Cycling 24.251 km (15 miles) around the 200-meter indoor track at the (UCI) Union Cycliste Internationale velodrome in Aigle, cyclist Robert Marchand from France set a new world record for cycling non-stop for one hour.
